How to Inflame Cancer Growth. Cancer cells are surrounded by normal cells like fibroblasts and immune cells, but can they be corrupted to promote growth of a tumor? In this video abstract, Andy Minn and his colleagues explain how breast cancer cells instruct stromal cells in the tumor environment to produce a form of RNA that triggers an inflammatory response that helps cancer cell to grow and become resistant to therapies.
