Matthew Conte, a master's student in the Women's and Gender Studies program at Carleton University, placed in the top 10 of Carleton's Three Minute Thesis competition. His topic was "More Fats, More Femmes and No Whites: A Critical Examination of Fatphobia, Femmephobia and Racism on Grindr"
