Angling Steelhead - William Twardek - Carleton University. We measured the physiological stress response and post-release activity patterns of wild steelhead exposed to a combination of handling (net vs. tail grab) and air exposure (0s, 10s, 30s) treatments. This study is the first to evaluate the factors that influence the outcome of wild steelhead following catch-and-release, and will be used to develop species-specific 'best' practices.
