Detection of Fungi in Breath - Alya Bhimji - University of Toronto. Difficulties in diagnosing fungal infections, especially invasive aspergillosis, warrant new testing methods and noninvasive sampling techniques. In this video, I describe a novel, noninvasive means of sampling the airways with subsequent testing of the sample for fungal DNA (PCR) and protein (ELISAs) to reduce the burden of this infection.
