Cellular and molecular mechanisms of peripheral nerve regeneration - In this video abstract, the authors use the in vivo imaging to examine if and how regenerating axons return to their original targets. The authors report on the existence of a cellular mechanism that promotes target selective regeneration and they identify two genes of a genetic pathway critical for traget selective regeneration.
