Helicobacter pylori Senses Urea as an Attractant through Its Chemoreceptor TlpB Helicobacter pylori Senses Urea as an Attractant through Its Chemoreceptor TlpB - Live cultures of wild-type H. pylori and a mutant lacking the chemoreceptor TlpB (ΔtlpB) were exposed to a urea microgradient generated by injecting 1 mM urea from a micropipette tip that appears in the left field of view. The responses of bacteria were recorded starting at 4 seconds pre-injection.
