3MT University of Bath final winner

Following a competitive final to Bath’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, Mechanical Engineering PhD student Amyce Aurora-Smith has been selected to represent the University in national-level heats. Amyce, who is working in automotive engineering, is interested in creating better dampers for cars. Amyce explains that turbo charged engines are improving car fuel efficiency, but they are also packing far more power into a much smaller space, creating a huge amount of vibration.
