Purdue Agriculture Research: Bacteria Microphages

Purdue Agriculture Research: Bacteria Microphages. Dr. Paul Ebner, a Purdue professor in the department of animal science, explains his research in the area of bacteria microphages. This particular type of bacteria attacks harmful viruses, such as E. Coli and salmonella inside food animals pre-harvest and reduces their spread. The overall goal with this research is to commercialize the product and incorporate it into animal feeds to reduce the spread of food born illnesses prior to harvest.
