Potentiation in Motor Learning

Potentiation in Motor Learning - Traditionally, long-term depression at the parallel fiber to Purkinje cell synapse has been considered to be the process underlying cerebellar motor learning. In this study, Schonewille et al. challenge this idea and in this video abstract, Chris De Zeeuw discusses their findings that synaptic potentiation contributes prominently to cerebellar motor learning.
