Wnt signaling in Frontotemporal Dementia

Wnt signaling in Frontotemporal Dementia - Progranulin mutations cause frontotemporal dementia (FTD). In this video, Dan Geschwind and colleagues describe their analysis of the pathways downstream of progranulin and their discovery of an unexpected major role for the Wnt signaling pathway. Their data suggest that altered Wnt signaling plays a role in progranulin-linked FTD and that this pathway could be a potential therapeutic target. Read more in Rosen et al., Neuron 71/6.
