Pushing the Boundaries of Super-resolution Microscopy

In this NeuroResource, Stefan Hell and colleagues introduce RESOLFT, a new, higher-resolution nanoscale imaging technique with reduced susceptibility to tissue degradation. Increased imaging speeds enable the recording of dendritic actin filament dynamics and changes in spine morphology occurring on time scales from seconds to hours. For more details see Testa et al., Neuron 75(6).
