The Adaptor MAVS Promotes NLRP3 Mitochondrial Localization and Inflammasome Activation Ron Germain and colleagues identify the mitochondrial adapter molecule MAVS as a critical regulator of inflammasome activation. They discuss their findings on how MAVS and another adapter, ASC, are both required for maximal NLRP3 function.
