Environmental Enrichment Rescues Precocious Critical Period

Critical periods are developmental time windows when neural circuits in the brain are shaped by experience. Jianhua Cang and colleagues show that a precocious critical period disrupts the matching of binocular information in mouse visual cortex and the deficit can be rescued by environmental enrichment
