The abstract covers the participatory active research executed by Dave Yates and Scott Paquette. Yates and Paquette explored the use of social media to improve knowledge sharing and application during a major disaster response operation. The research found wikis and sharepoint to be valuable to tools to increase the rate and amount of knowledge shared.
