Zeroing in on Repetitive Behaviors. Thomas Südhof and colleagues reveal that neuroligin-3 mutations enhance repetitive behaviors similar to those seen in autism spectrum disorders by selectively affecting one type of medium spiny neuron in a specific brain region.
