Crohn's Disease Gene Nod2 Regulates Intestinal Microbiota Ken Cadwell and colleagues demonstrate that the bacterial sensor Nod2 prevents intestinal inflammation by regulating the intestinal microbiota, particularly the expansion of Bacteroides vulgatus, a common gut commensal.
